Headquartered near Denver, the company’s mission is to help banks fill an increasing funding void caused by the continuing erosion of retail deposits. In 1992, 82% of a bank’s funding came from retail deposits. Today, only 54% of deposits are raised by the retail sector. Community Bank Funding Company was founded in 2002 with a focus on providing more innovative liquidity and management tools for community based financial institutions. In March 2006, the company received an infusion of capital, operating and marketing resources from Republic Financial Corporation to accelerate development.
